Jamie Oliver paid a flying visit to Leeds' Kirkgate Market this week while setting up his third Ministry of Food Centre in Europe's largest covered market. The new Ministry of Food Centre will teach Jamie's specially developed cookery course which has been developed to educate and inspire people to cook good, simple food. Classes will be run by local people who have been trained by Jamie's food team. All the recipes will aim to use locally sourced ingredients, including those available in Kirkgate Market. The Ministry of Food will open at the Leeds Kirkgate Market on Friday 25 June as a partnership between NHS Leeds and Leeds City Council.
